The ‘chaos pilots’ provide an accredited programme of study focused on the practical implementation and successful completion of specific projects. It is aimed at creative people who want to realise an idea or start a business, and particularly focuses on social entrepreneurship. During the three-year programme, students acquire the knowledge, skills and approaches they need to implement their vision and realise their ideas. The programme focuses on learning objectives such as starting a business; organisation, leadership qualities and human resource issues. The skills placed at the centre of the programme are subject competence, relationship competence, change competence and action competence.
A study week usually consists of a group day, two workshop days and two self-learning/do-it-yourself days that are accompanied by at least 90 minutes of coaching every month. During their studies, the learners take on specific responsibilities, receive orders from partner organisations at school, and work on their own projects. Over time, independent action comes to play an ever stronger role. Finally, exams do take place at the end of each semester, but they are always directly related to the projects implemented by the students.
